Maggie and Joe met on the squash courts in 2010 at the University Club of Washington.  Little did Joe know that Maggie was an accomplished squash player from her university days.  A romance budded between the two as they continued to pursue their careers; Joe as senior counsel in the United States House of Representatives and Maggie as a consultant in the Washington office of Accenture.

The two were married on a beautiful Saturday in August in a small church in Owings Mills that Maggie’s grandfather had a hand in designing and building.  The ceremony was beautiful, classic and casual with the groomsmen in Nantucket red with navy blue blazers and bridesmaids in blue striped short dresses.  The wedding celebration took place under a tent in beautifully  decorated, in the backyard of Maggie’s parent’s house.

Lauren and Steve met in undergraduate at James Madison University.  It took some convincing for Lauren to give Steve a chance; but once she did, the two have been inseparable since.  Lauren went on to attend University of Maryland where she got her Master of Social Work and Steve began work as a Paramedic/Fireman for Prince William County.  Knowing how important family is to Lauren, Steve made his plans to propose while all of her family was in town.  Decorating their apartment with rose petals, candles and champagne; Steve proposed with their whole family present.

These college sweethearts gathered with their friends and family at the Woodholme Country Club to celebrate their wedding day.  The beauty of their first look and multi colored rose petal ceremony (flowers from Blue Vanda Designs and Sharlene Sherman Events) was only matched by the intensity of the rain storm that happened that night.  So if the old saying is true, and rain is good luck, these two have it in buckets.  After the ceremony, the Woodholme Country Club’s catering staff presented an amazing set of hors d’oeuvres inspired from cuisines around the world.  The reception was amazingly covered by the band Nocturne.  It was a beautiful evening all around.
