Meriel and Garrett both attended St. Paul’s Schools and met while on a school ski trip.   Many years later Garrett asked Meriel to marry him while walking on the beach in North Carolina while the two were on vacation with their family.  So having their wedding at the St. Paul’s School Chapel seemed only right.  Meriel worked with Pam Aiello of Elizabeth Bailey Events and Peggy Smalley on creating a beautiful outdoor, summer evening cocktails and reception on the lawn of Meriel’s childhood home in Lutherville.  Florals were simple and arrangements neutral color.  The reception took place under the most beautiful tent provided by Loane Bros.  Their favorite part of their wedding was looking around and seeing that they were surrounded by their family and friends to celebrate this most special day.

Sinead and Cory met like a lot of couples do these days, on the internet.  Their first date was at the Boathouse in Canton and the romance quickly blossomed.  With a deep passion for the Christmas holiday, Cory knew that by asking Sinead to marry him by writing it on a Christmas ornament on the 23rd of December was a sure thing.  Their favorite thing about their wedding day was seeing all of their family and friends from across the world (traveling from S. America, Alaska, England, and Ireland).

Their wedding ceremony took place at the beautiful St. Alphonsus Church; which provided a beautiful backdrop for their wedding.  From there the new bride and groom ventured with their wedding party to the streets of Fells Point before joining their guests at the 1840’s Ballroom.  This beautiful event was coordinated and designed by Beth Bailey of Elizabeth Bailey Weddings.  With gorgeous florals and room set up by Rennie of Simply Beautiful.

Karley and Sam are both deeply passionate about everything they do, their jobs, their family, and their friends.  They are particularly passionate about each other.  In the Winter of 2016, when Karley returned home from a business trip to Sam and his daughter having made a beautiful dinner she knew she was in for something special.  There in their kitchen Sam purposed to her (a place that they both hold deer).  Working in event planning herself, Karley was very excited to plan a day that perfectly expressed her and Sam’s relationship.  She captured those expressions through the little details throughout their wedding; hand picking the cocktails and liquor served, the Chinese New Years themed photobooth props, incorporating the same flowers into her bouquet that her grandmother had had herself, the entire set list, the soup bar, and the carefully coordinated hunter green used in the bridesmaids’ dresses and the groomsmen’s pocket squares.

They celebrated their wedding with family and friends in the Belvedere’s Charles Ballroom; a beautiful space that serves every type of wedding perfectly.  During their cocktail hour, guests were offered an array of hor dourves, including a soup bar that was absolutely delicious.   After a night of dancing and celebrating, the bride and groom took their friends to the Owl Bar for a late night pizza party where they celebrated the rest of the night.

Here’s a fun story of Law and Order that’s a little different than what you’ve seen on television.  Sam, an Assistant State’s Attorney, and Brian, a Baltimore City Police Officer met through mutual friends while both were working in downtown Baltimore.  The two began dating and fell in love quickly.  While on vacation in Napa, CA in a wine vineyard Brian asked Sam to be his wife.

Baltimore is important to these two.  Their wedding took place before the Washington Monument in Mount Vernon; placing the iconic Baltimore landmark in the backdrop of their wedding ceremony.  Sam’s best friend (also an attorney) presided over the wedding ceremony.  Their reception took place at the Engineers Club, just on the other side of the monument.  A place that they feel embodies Baltimore (or if you ask Sam, it’s because it looks like Hogwarts inside).
