Grand Central Terminal New York City Engagement: Emily & Jeff

This past year I’ve been fortunate to have several of our clients living in New York City. So I’ve been happy when they have suggested New York as a backdrop for their engagement session.  Especially since, New York is the City that inspired me to become a photographer.  First I had the best teacher in the world, my husband photographer Joe Sachs – whose studio on 19th and 7th Avenue in Chelsea provided the opportunity to learn all about both natural and studio lighting.  Second, I had the best City in which to learn photography – spending weekends visiting International Center for Photography, the Met, MoMA, and annual shows such as AIPAD.   And, who wouldn’t be inspired to photograph with the architecture of the Chrysler building, Brooklyn Bridge, and the Central Park.  For Emily and Jeff’s engagement session we chose the iconic facade of Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library.   They are set to be married this October at Baltimore’s American Visionary Art Museum.
