Gorgeous, Elegant Peabody Library Wedding

One of my absolute favorite locations to photograph weddings is at the Peabody Library located in Historic Mount Vernon of Baltimore City.  The area is lined with, what were at one time, the grand mansions of Baltimore’s industrial elite of the Gilded Age.   And, the most stunning is the George Peabody Library’s atrium, which was completed in 1878 and has been called a cathedral of books soring 61’ toward skylights and surrounded by iron balconies with stacks of books.   This lovely space provided the backdrop for Sarah Schlotterbeck and Tim Perl’s wedding on an early June evening.

Sarah and Tim met through a friend while working at the same hospital and the rest is history.  They were engaged in NYC’s Central park, where they also shot their engagement photos.

Sarah’s inspiration for the wedding was a classic fairy tale. Sarah’s Mom has always made jewelry, so it was very important to Sarah to have her wedding day jewelry made by her Mom who spent months creating the pieces.

The main library was transformed into a gorgeous space with Rennie Friedlander of Simply Beautiful creating the most stunning bridal bouquet and centerpieces for guests’ tables.  Sharon Boerner of Celebrations planned and ran everything smoothly in her always smooth and never ruffled way!   The catering was executed beautifully by Bobby Pressman and the Classic Catering team and gorgeous invitations were designed by Rachel Dorenfeld of Kindly R.S.V.P. Designs.
