Theresa and Dave’s Walters Art Museum Wedding
“Dave and I are a success story for online dating – we never would have met otherwise. We were in totally different circles, different jobs, lived in different parts of the city and have different hobbies. But we met, hit it off, and in all honesty, I could never have found a better partner, a more perfect person to spend the rest of my life with!
“We had gotten tickets to the Maryland Wine Festival at Camden Yards in April 2013. We made a day of it – went to the American Visionary Art Museum then wandered over to the festival. Finished it off with dinner downtown at Fleet Street Kitchen. It was a beautiful, sunny spring day. We made it to Harbor East a little early, so Dave suggested we walk down by the water. We strolled along the harbor, and stopped in front of Wit & Wisdom, out on the pier. We chatted and all I remember was turning back to Dave and seeing him pull a box out of his jacket, and get down on one knee. It was a sweet proposal and of course I said YES! Although simple, I loved that he proposed in a place we can always revisit, in Baltimore which is now my permanent home.”
“One of the things I feel really lucky for is that we found amazing vendors. Each knew their business to a T and many had worked together before. They ran our day and helped us in the planning and it made it so much more manageable for us than it could have been. I truly loved every vendor we had and we got so many compliments on each of them.”
“If I could give one piece of advice to couples planning their wedding, it would be to RELAX and enjoy the night – you’ll never have another like it. And the energy you put out, your happiness during the night, is what people take away the most from the wedding and for those who love you, that is all they want to see.”
