Lauren and Martin met while in a study group back in their college days. Martin used asking for Lauren’s notes as a reason to get her phone number. It didn’t take long for them to start dating. Their romance quickly blossomed as these two pursued called medicine. Martin, currently in his residency, and Lauren, currently on her way to her MD were engaged at the same restaurant where they enjoyed their first date. After he proposed, the two met their parents at a different restaurant just down the road.
The weekend started with a welcome/rehearsal party at the American Visionary Art Museum on Friday. The ceremony and reception was held the next day in downtown Baltimore at the Peabody Library. The library seemed a most fitting location to hold their ceremony, as a library was where their relationship originated. Beneath gorgeous florals designed by Wicked Willow, the two said “I do.” Occassions Catering provided a dinner of roasted lobster tail with garden risotto. Dessert was the Flight of the bumble bee and Sugar Bakers cake. Guests were sent off with chocolates from Baltimore’s own The Velvet Chocolatier. And the entire night was brought to a close with a flurry of pink ribbons.
